Steven Trauger is a television studio engineer, creative digital media professional, and major event operations lead. He holds an M.A. in Broadcast Design from the Savannah College of Art & Design and graduated magna cum laude from York College of Pennsylvania, where he majored in Mass Communication and minored in Advertising.
Through his production company, STVP, he provides award-winning design and media production services. His client list includes industry giants such as NBC Sports, NBC News (The Today Show), ABC News (Good Morning America, World News Tonight, 20/20), BBC News World Service, MTV (Made), VH1/High Noon Entertainment West (Tough Love), FOX (Good Day New York), The Weather Channel (PM Edition, Evening Edition), Food Network (Food Nation with Bobby Flay), CNBC (On the Money), TLC (Say Yes to the Dress, A Dating Story), The Martha Stewart Show, The Miss America Pageant, and various local affiliates and corporate entities across the U.S.
His work has earned numerous industry awards, including 1st place and Best of Festival at the BEA International Film Festival in Las Vegas, NV. It has also been featured on high-profile platforms such as Mashable, Flex, Business News Daily, Newscast Studio, TV Technology, and TV News Check. Producer Magazine previously ranked him as one of America’s top 30 professionals in the industry. He has coordinated technology and audiovisual setups for shows, events, and meetings serving clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to non-profit organizations. The Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters honored him with the John Bosak Engineering Award, and he was featured as one of the top 25 video editors in Red Bull North America’s online showcase.
Steve occasionally presents at industry seminars and workshops. StudioDaily named him to their inaugural list of 50 Top Creatives and Technologists shaping the media and entertainment landscape at the National Association of Broadcasters Show.
His professional affiliations have included the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the National Press Photographers Association, Promax|BDA (GEMA), and WEVA International. He has served as a judge for the World Television Design Awards, Davey Awards, PromaxBDA North America Awards, Communicator Awards, and regional Emmy® Awards.
A former musician, Steve’s love and understanding of music continue to enhance his media work. He still dabbles in music when time allows, though he’s often busy in the kitchen, training, staying up-to-date with industry trends, mentoring, volunteering, or simply relaxing at the beach.
