Steven Trauger is a television studio engineer and creative digital media professional. He holds a M.A. in broadcast design from Savannah College of Art & Design and is a 2004 magna cum laude graduate of York College of Pennsylvania where he majored in mass communication with a minor in advertising.
STVP (his production company) provides award-winning design & media production services. Clients have included: NBC Sports, NBC News (The Today Show), ABC News (Good Morning America, World News Tonight, 20/20), MTV (Made), VH1/High Noon Entertainment West (Tough Love), FOX (Good Day New York), The Weather Channel (PM Edition, Evening Edition), Food Network (Food Nation with Bobby Flay), CNBC (On The Money), TLC (Say Yes to the Dress, A Dating Story), The Martha Stewart Show, The Miss America Pageant, and various local affiliates/corporate entities from coast to coast.
His work has won numerous industry awards including 1st place and best of festival at the BEA International Film Festival in Las Vegas, NV and been featured on sites such as Mashable, Flex, Business News Daily, and GoMo News to name a few. In 2004, Producer Magazine ranked him as one of the top 30 in America. Honored by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters as the first recipient of the John Bosak Engineering Award, Steve was additionally featured as one of the top 25 video editors in Red Bull North America’s 2007 online showcase.
Steve occasionally presents at industry seminars/workshops. StudioDaily named him to their list of 50 Top Creatives and Technologists who are helping to shape media and entertainment at the 2016 NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Show.
Trauger has held memberships in the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the National Press Photographers Association, Promax|BDA, and WEVA International. Through his involvement he has judged the World Television Design Awards, Davey Awards, PromaxBDA North America Awards, Communicator Awards, and been a judging panel leader for the Emmy® Awards.
Steve is a former musician whose love and understanding of music continues to enhance his work within the media industry. He still dabbles in music today when home, if not too busy spending time in the kitchen, training, studying the latest industry trends, mentoring, volunteering, or just relaxing at the beach.
